I-15, SR-201 and other state highways impacted
SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 15, 2026) — The Utah Department of Transportation is alerting drivers of upcoming road and ramp closures in Davis and Salt Lake counties.
In Davis County, two closures will impact drivers in Clearfield and Bountiful:
- I-15, Clearfield: The southbound I-15 off-ramp to 650 North (Exit 335) will close on Friday, Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 19 at 4 a.m., while crews connect the ramp to the recently realigned section of I-15. This work is part of the 1800 North Improved project, which is also building a new interchange at 1800 North, widening 1800 North and constructing a railroad overpass.
- Pages Lane (1600 North), Bountiful: Pages Lane between 475 West and 550 West will close on Thursday, Oct. 15 through Monday, Jan. 25, 2027, for drainage relocation to accommodate the FrontRunner 2X project.
In Salt Lake County, drivers should plan ahead for two ramp closures:
- 7800 South, West Jordan: The on-ramp from 7800 South to southbound Bangerter Highway will close on Thursday, Oct. 15, for 10 days. During this closure, West Jordan City crews will work on a nearby waterline.
- Westbound SR-201, Magna: The ramp from westbound SR-201 to I-80 will close on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 19 at 5 a.m. for pothole repairs. During these closures, traffic on westbound SR-201 will be detoured onto SR-202 to access I-80.
UDOT also encourages drivers traveling through Spanish Fork Canyon to prepare for heavy traffic this weekend. Fall break for several school districts will overlap with the opening weekend of the general-season buck deer hunt, with the heaviest traffic expected on westbound US-6 on Sunday, Oct. 18 during the afternoon and evening hours.
Drivers on US-6 will also encounter a work zone near the junction of US-6 and US-89 (Thistle area). Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction for a two-mile stretch, and access to US-89 has been shifted. Drivers turning onto US-89 should slow down and follow traffic barrels. These lane closures will remain in place until Sunday, Nov. 15, when the new interchange will open.
